Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC. – GPRS of Wisconsin was contacted by large contracting company to locate the fiber optic, electrical, and any other sub surface utilities or anomalies. This site was in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Where the utilities were to be located were around a large cell tower. There were many ground wires running in these areas, but our ground penetrating radar and radio detection equipment was able to locate the lines in search.
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) of Kansas City was called to scan the floor of a local grocery store at St. Joseph, MO where the client was going to cut the slab. The client was saw cutting the slab to install new plumbing and electrical and was concerned with striking conduits in the area. GPRS was able to mark multiple conduits in the slab and directly below which could of have resulted in costly repairs or injuries. Thanks to the expertise of our field staff, our client was able to perform his work with zero issues.
Many cities and counties around the US have started requiring pre and post inspections of storm and sanitary sewer lines if any work is taking place near those utilities. GPRS was called out to a residential build, where a swimming pool was being constructed near the city sanitary sewer line. The purpose for the pre and post inspections is to determine if there was any change in the pipe condition before and after the construction takes place.
